La congiura del silenzio sullo scandalo del signoraggio. Ne parla solo Magdi Allam. Neppure Grillo ne parla pur rivendicando il ritorno alla sovranità monetaria.

In tal modo si è peggiorata la situazione derivante dall'assurdo del poco noto sistema del signoraggio, che vedeva lo Stato italiano stampare moneta cartacea tramite una Banca d'Italia che, pur dovendo essere organo di controllo delle banche, con il mito della liberalizzazione, negli anni '90, trasformata in S.p.A., è diventata proprietà delle maggiori banche private, che da controllate diventano controllori di se stesse, mentre le banche centrali di ogni Stato europeo sono controllate da una banca centrale con capitale dello Stato. Ma con l'istituzione di una banca centrale europea (con sede a Francoforte) tutte le banche centrali di ogni Stato sono state private del potere di battere moneta. E' infatti la banca centrale europea che è diventata proprietaria di tutta la moneta cartacea in euro. Ogni Stato deve pagare un tasso di sconto del 2,5% annuo alla banca centrale europea su ogni quantità di moneta di cui chiede l'emissione, giacché si tratta di danaroprestatodalla banca europea. Questo 2,5% rappresenta un debito per ogni Stato, che, mentre in corrispondenza, per esempio, di 100 euro emesse, riconosce alla banca europea un suo credito corrispondente (che non verrà mai chiesto in restituzione), tuttavia dovrà pagare l'interesse del 2,5 aumentando in tal modo il debito pubblico in titoli di Stato. Precedentemente era la Banca d'Italia che, proprietaria della carta moneta (e non delle monete di metallo coniate dalla zecca di Stato), stampava la carta moneta e chiedeva allo Stato il pagamento di un interesse su ogni quantità di danaro stampata. La Banca d'Italia con un gioco di prestigio pone la sua percentuale di proprietà della moneta cartacea della zona euro (14,57) sotto la voce “passivo” per ripeterla poi sotto la voce “attivo” trasformandola inriserve, che essa pone a disposizione delle varie banche commerciali. Queste, sulla base di un deposito nettamente inferiore a titolo di garanzia della Banca d'Italia, ottengono, sulla base di un certo calcolatore, prestiti dalla Banca d'Italia per un importo nettamente superiore (per esempio da 100 a 2000) per poi trasformarli in prestiti ai loro clienti ad un tasso nettamente superiore, prestando così ai loro clienti del danaro ricavato...dal nulla. La questione del signoraggio (cioè della proprietà del danaro che viene sottratto alla proprietà dello Stato italiano, costretto a comprarlo, prima dalla Banca d'Italia in mano alle banche private, ed ora alla banca centrale europea, è una di quelle cose assurde che soltanto negli ultimi anni si sta cercando con fatica di rendere pubblica. Coloro che negano che il signoraggio aumenti il debito pubblico (v. su Google “Come capire il signoraggio”; “frottole e illusioni sul signoraggio”) dovrebbero spiegare e giustificare il 2,5% di interesse che le banche centrali di ogni Stato debbono pagare alla banca centrale sul valore nominale di un biglietto carta moneta (che tipograficamente costa 30 cent.).
