Something that was not clear in any of the data from these studies, however, was the administered dosages of hydroxychloroquine, but it has now become clear that the doses are significantly higher than what is considered safe use of the drug.

la diffusione del covid sta stravolgendo il nostro mondo. Purtroppo, non in meglio.
I cristiani continuano ad essere perseguitati e la pandemia viene utilizzata da alcuni governi e dagli estremisti come arma pretestuosa per colpire ulteriormente i cristiani.
In taluni Paesi manca una legislazione che assicuri anche il minimo livello di libertà di fede. Spesso, agli attacchi condannati a livello internazionale, si affiancano le persecuzioni che i governi possono attuare perché nel totale rispetto del sistema di legge interno.
In questo dramma mondiale, in un primo momento, la Commissione europea ha ritenuto opportuno non rinnovare l'incarico di “Inviato speciale per la promozione della libertà di religione o di credo al di fuori dell’Unione europea”. Ruolo svolto al meglio dall'on. Ján Figel per far luce sulle violazioni dei diritti umani e facilitare i rapporti con i Paesi in cui la persecuzione religiosa è più grave.
In un secondo momento, il 9 luglio scorso, la Commissione ha deciso di ripristinare la carica, ma ad oggi non è stato nominato alcun inviato.
Lo scorso 4 giugno, la Commissione da Lei guidata ha risposto all’appello dell’International Religious Freedom Round Table, sostenendo che “sta discutendo per stabilire come meglio continuare a promuovere” la libertà religiosa nel mondo, che nello stesso testo definisce come “una priorità”.
Rispettosamente domandiamo alla Commissione europea cosa di concreto si sta facendo. Perché i cristiani, ora, temono di professare la propria fede in diverse parti del mondo.
In Pakistan le minorenni, molte delle quali cristiane, continuano ad essere rapite per divenire le mogli – convertite - di fondamentalisti islamici. I numeri inquietano il 21% delle bimbe pakistane si sposa prima dei 18 anni, il 3% prima dei 15. Sono dati contenuti nell'intervento dell'allora commissario Phil Hogan, in risposta all'interrogazione parlamentare di maggio sulla conversione della quattordicenne Huma Younas.
Al di là del caso singolo, noi dell'Osservatorio sulla Cristianofobia siamo fortemente allarmati dall'estrema tolleranza con cui si seguono le persecuzioni ai danni dei cristiani. Da lontano. Da troppo lontano.
Non avere ancora la nomina dell'Inviato speciale per la difesa della libertà religiosa al di fuori dell’Ue sembra un ulteriore regressione, una decisione che chiaramente non rappresenta il volere dei cristiani europei.
Le chiedo, quindi, a nome dei sostenitori dell’Osservatorio sulla Cristianofobia, di fare quanto è in Suo potere perché la nomina dell’Inviato avvenga quanto prima. Mai come in questo periodo risulta di fondamentale importanza.
Sono fiducioso che nulla rimarrà intentato da parte Sua e della Commissione da Lei guidata.
Altrimenti dovremmo prendere atto che ci sono libertà che possono vantare priorità prevalenti su altre. E questa non è l'Europa che i padri fondatori avevano sognato.
